GENERAL SUMMARY: The Assistant Manager supervises the staff at a Cape Cod Five retail location, insuring the teams' performance and the execution of daily operations results in the highest level of customer care for retail branch customers. As a trusted financial advisor, the Assistant Manager will provide exceptional customer care and deliver a full range of financial services to customers achieve their financial needs and goals. As a member of the retail management team, the Assistant Manager will provide exceptional care and support to staff in achieving their professional goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES, IN PRIORITY ORDER:
* Oversee and supervise branch staff for purposes of day-to-day administration of job duties, including scheduling, communicating overall goals, operations and coaching reinforcing principles and values. * Monitoring and decisioning management reports. * Develops rapport with customers, greeting customers by name, understand account ownership types and authority, being responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, while displaying a caring attitude (GUEST philosophy) * Provides backup to retail staff positions and Branch Manager * Provides excellent customer care to customers relative to daily transactions, addressing inquiries, and problem resolution, in accordance with Bank policies and procedures * Performs basic banking transactions including: processing deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, check cashing, money orders and treasurer's check issuance and savings bond redemption * Fulfills all branch closing activities * Introduces and advises on the Bank's deposit and consumer loan products and services to appropriately meet customer needs in a proactive manner * Introduces and advises on the Bank's products and services to appropriately meet customer needs * Proficient in determining customer's existing and prospective financial needs and identifies referrals to other business lines (Investment Services, TAM, Commercial, Cash Management, etc.) * Proficient in determining customer needs and recommending to the customer the products and services that best meet their needs * Maintain a working knowledge of product and service offerings including consumer, business, non-profit, retirement, Online Banking, BillPay, debits cards * Confidently discuss customer lending opportunities and assists customers in preparing loan applications for home equity products and personal loans * Safeguards customer trust by upholding duty of customer confidentiality * Must comply with all required regulations, guidelines, and policies * Timely completion of all assigned learning activities * Actively participate in branch meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions * Participation/volunteerism in community groups and events * Additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS: (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position):
Bachelor's Degree OR 60 college credits and pursuing Bachelor's Degree and five years of experience in a financial institution

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
