We have an excellent opportunity for a Manager, Business System IT in Aguadilla Puerto Rico.
Works to select, implement, develop, maintain and support business systems and digital applications through understanding business processes and their implications and applying process improvement concepts for simplification and productivity to support business goals and objectives. Manages external vendors. Aligns digital services, service levels, technology, vendor/supplier management, and initiatives with business strategies and needs. Represents the business in enterprise/corporate initiatives. Acts as a business contact and advocates for delivery of high quality digital services. Works with Security/Compliance, Infrastructure, and Project Management Groups to manage and document the digital technology portfolio. Responsible for alignment of business systems technology selection, programming, configuring and testing of both new applications and legacy systems, which requires knowledge of systems architecture, development processes for improved design, as well as understanding of systems integration for applications.
+ Recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
+ Manage the development and maintenance/support life cycle for software and hardware; this may include servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
+ Oversee provision of end-user services, including technical support services.
+ Work with PW, customers and suppliers stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
+ Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio.
+ Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
+ Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, employee development (e.g. training), performance evaluation, disciplinary actions and termination.
+ Provide direct oversight to all activities related to IT Supplier Management.
+ Implement standards in conjunction with divisional and corporate security and technology policies, and define guidelines and processes for the IT and PW community.
+ Prepare and manage department budget.
+ Develop and maintain an effective working environment by promoting and enhancing self-esteem, trust and the highest level of participation and integration in harmony with the company and people values.
+ Actively participate and contribute to the overall safe performance, and assure active participation of subordinates in compliance to applicable laws and regulations.
+ Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required.
+ Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts. Obtain ACE Associate certification.
+ Support project management activities across Business Unit and site.
+ Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Management Information Systems.
+ Eight years of relevant experience with at least five (5) years of experience related to IT and at least three (3) years of supervisory or management experience
+ English fluency (verbal and written)
+ US Citizenship required due to government contracts
+ Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Network Topologies, Windows 7, Windows Server Editions, Unix, Linux, mass storage technologies, backup systems
+ Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including network switches, routers, WAN, LAN
+ In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
+ In-depth knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle, and corresponding methodologies like Waterfall, AGILE
+ Knowledgeable in Project Management
+ Basic knowledge of Facilities, Utilities and infrastructure of data centers / data rooms a plus
+ Knowledge of technical and business aspects of Aerospace industry is desirable
